Tavener, Maxwell-Davies, Britten, Part

24 April 1998
St John's College Chapel
Director: Owen Rees
Organ: Stephen Farr
Percussion: Philip Woodrow

John Tavener is an appropriate composer to begin the Taverner Choir's first concert of twentieth century music. He claims the sixteenth-century John Taverner as an ancestor, and his music has affinities such as startling use of widely-spaced parts.
